How quickly can you get to me in an emergency?
Across BS1 to BS16 we’re usually with you within the hour, day or night. We give you an honest arrival time on the phone and text when we’re 15 minutes away.
What does an emergency call-out cost?
£95 between 7am and 10pm, £145 overnight. That includes the first hour on site and making everything safe. Parts are charged at the price on the receipt, and we tell you before anything costs more.
Do I actually need a new fuse board?
Not always. Warning signs are rewireable fuses, a wooden backboard, no RCD protection or trips you can’t explain. We only recommend a new board if yours fails testing, and we show you the readings.
How long does an EICR take, and how long is it valid?
Two to four hours for most homes. Landlords in England need a new one at least every five years. For homeowners we suggest every ten years, or when you buy. You get the report by email within 24 hours.
Can you fit an EV charger if I park on the street?
You need off-street parking. Running a cable across the pavement isn’t allowed without council permission, so if it isn’t possible at your address, we’ll tell you on the survey rather than take a deposit.
Can we stay at home during a rewire?
Yes, most families do. We work room by room, put power back on every evening and clean up daily. A 3-bed house usually takes five to seven working days.
Do you charge for quotes?
No. Surveys and quotes are free and fixed. The price we write down is the price you pay, unless you change the job.
