Websites for plumbers & heating engineers (HVAC)

Websites for plumbers and heating engineers that get calls

A pipe bursts. They find you on Google Maps and tap “Website”. We build the page that makes them call you, not the next plumber.

  • From £590 to build + £39/month care (3-month minimum). No VAT added.
  • We reply within 1 working day, usually the same day.

Where people give up

Five places plumbing websites lose the call

Most people who need a plumber are stressed, on a phone, and looking at three names on a map. These are the spots where they give up and ring someone else.

  • The problem

The number is hard to find in a hurry.

    The fix

A tap-to-call bar that stays on screen on every page, with your emergency hours in plain words. Nobody with water coming through the ceiling should have to scroll for it.

  • The problem

People can't tell if you cover their street.

    The fix

A service-area section listing the towns and postcodes (ZIP codes) you cover, and what changes outside them. People outside your area find out before they ring, not after.

  • The problem

A hidden call-out fee turns into an argument at the door.

    The fix

Say what a visit costs up front: your call-out or diagnostic fee, what it includes, and when it's knocked off the repair. Customers ring already knowing the deal.

  • The problem

Planned work gets buried under emergencies.

    The fix

A separate request form for boiler services, landlord gas safety certificates and new boiler quotes. Planned jobs come in through the website, with the address and appliance, not as a 2am phone call.

  • The problem

Nobody can see you're Gas Safe registered.

    The fix

Your Gas Safe number (or state licence), insurance and guarantees near the top of the page, linked to the public register so customers can check them in seconds.

Anatomy of a heating and plumbing page that gets calls

Our concept for Ouzel Heating & Air, a fictional heating and air conditioning (HVAC) firm. Every part of the phone screen has one job.

Top to bottom, in the order a customer sees it on a phone.

  1. Emergency strip

A thin bar above everything with the emergency line and who answers it. On a phone, it's the first thing a thumb can reach.

  2. Headline in the customer's words

“Heat out? Air out? We'll be there today.” It names the problem the way people describe it, then makes one clear promise with its condition.

  3. Two buttons, one job each

Call for anything urgent, request a visit online for everything else. Both are big enough to hit first time.

  4. The visit price, in writing

The diagnostic fee, what it covers and when it's waived sits right under the buttons. No surprise at the door.

  5. Licence, insurance, guarantee

One strip with the licence number, insurance cover and repair guarantee. On a real site, the client supplies each one and we link to where it can be checked.

  6. “What's wrong?” triage

Four big tiles: no heat, no cooling, strange noise, high bills. Each gives safe checks to try first and typical prices, so the call that follows is shorter.

  7. Service-area check

The areas covered, with any trip charge outside them. Nobody books a visit you can't make.

What's built in

Built for emergencies and planned jobs

  • Tap-to-call on every screen

A call bar that follows the scroll on phones, plus a WhatsApp button if you use it. Your number is never more than one tap away.

  • Your service area, clearly marked

The towns and postcodes you cover, with a light map image that links to Google Maps. No slow map embeds, no cookie banner.

  • Pages for boilers, heating and cooling

Separate pages for boiler repairs, servicing, new boilers, heat pumps and air conditioning, so each one can be found on Google.

  • Service and certificate requests

A short form for annual services, landlord gas safety certificates and quotes. You get the address, the appliance and a preferred slot.

  • Credentials near the top

Gas Safe, OFTEC, MCS or your state licence, with insurance and guarantees, where nervous customers look first.

  • Set up as a Plumber for Google

We add a short piece of code that tells Google you're a plumbing and heating business, with hours and areas that match your Business Profile.

Credentials

The proof people want before they let you in

Your customer is about to let a stranger into their home, often to work on gas. Show them the registrations and cover they're looking for. You send us the numbers and certificates; we show them clearly and link to the public register where one exists.

You supply and prove every credential. We never add a badge or number you don't hold.

  • Gas Safe Register number (a legal requirement for gas work in the UK)
  • OFTEC registration for oil-fired heating
  • MCS certification for heat pumps
  • F-gas certificate for air conditioning and heat pumps
  • WaterSafe approved plumber
  • State contractor licence and EPA 608 certification (US)
  • Public liability insurance
  • A written workmanship guarantee

Where your work comes from

Your own website vs paying per enquiry

Pay-per-lead sites and directories can fill a quiet week. The difference is who owns the customer afterwards.

ChannelGood forWatch out for
Your own websiteEvery call and form comes straight to you, with nobody else quoting at the same time. Customers save your number for the next leak.It takes a few months to build up on Google. It works best alongside your Business Profile, not instead of it.
Pay-per-lead sitesJobs from day one. Handy when you're starting out or have gaps in the diary. You usually pay for the enquiry whether you win the job or not, and the same job often goes to several trades.
Trade directories and rating sitesCustomers trust the vetting and the reviews, and some search the directory before Google.Membership is an ongoing cost, and your profile sits in a list next to other local firms.
Your Google Business ProfileIt's free, and it's often the first thing people see when they search nearby: your pin, reviews, photos and opening hours. You can't control the layout, and there's little room to explain prices, areas or guarantees. It needs a website to send people to.

Questions

Questions from plumbers and heating engineers

See all questions

Can you show that I'm Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Send us your Gas Safe number, plus any OFTEC, MCS or F-gas details, and we'll show them near the top of the site, linked to the public register so customers can check. We only ever show credentials you hold and can prove.
I do emergency call-outs. How does the site handle that?
Your number stays on screen as people scroll, and your emergency hours are written in plain words near the top. If your hours change, send us a message: it counts as a small edit on your care plan.
Should I put my prices on the website?
You don't have to list every job. A clear call-out or diagnostic fee and a few typical prices help people ring with confidence. We'll help you decide what to show.
I cover several towns. Do I need a page for each one?
Usually not. One clear service-area section works for most firms. If you want separate area pages, our Local Plus build includes up to 4 with genuinely local content. We never make copy-paste town pages, because Google treats them as spam.
I already get work from pay-per-lead sites. Why pay for a website too?
Keep them if they work for you. Your website is the one place online where the customer sees only you, and it's where people go after they spot your van or your name on the map. Many firms use both.
Do you build for heating and air conditioning (HVAC) companies?
Yes. Our concept example is a heating and air conditioning firm. We tell Google it's a heating and air conditioning business rather than a plumber, and add pages for installs, maintenance plans and financing if you offer them.
Can customers book a boiler service online?
Yes. Local Pro includes a request form where the customer picks the service and a preferred slot, and you confirm by phone or email. If you already use a booking or job-management tool, Local Plus can connect it. You pay the tool's own fees.
